DCM Skin Solutions and MedSpa has one common goal: Patients come first! We do our very best for our patients on a daily basis. Dermatology Clinic was established in the city of Muncie, Indiana in 1977 by Dr. Bartholome. It was one of the first dermatology clinics to establish itself in Muncie. Dr. Bartholomes great knowledge and experience in dermatology allowed practice to quickly gain popularity. In the 80’s and 90’s Dermatology Clinic establish a great patient base that was taking care of generations of families.
With the great success and impressive demand for patients Dr. Barthololme decided to take on a partner to help the expansion and soon after that Dermatology Clinic opened satellite locations. From Muncie to Marion, Wabash to Hartford City and Peru our practice took the knowledge and experience on the road to help people with their skin conditions.
The new century brought multiple advancements in medical treatments and aesthetical services. The hard work, continuous education and patient appreciation allowed the practice to excel in the medical dermatology field.
In 2015 D.r Batholomes exceptional partner retired and then Dermatology Clinic recruited a Physician Assistant Gennady Chernyak. His impressive education and outstanding fifteen years of experience in Dermatology was a great choice to fill the void. Dr Bartholome and Gennady Chernyak partnered their effort in continuing the very best traditions that were established many years ago.
Our aesthetics department grew with new acquisitions of Laser for hair removal and skin tightening technology. Our aesthetician is able to help many patients with advances in microneedling procedures for scar treatments and rejuvenation. Chemical peels and acne facials help our patients to retain youthful look and help with complexion. In addition to the aesthetician, the practice adopted two incredible skin care lines – Epionce and Alastin skin care.
Dermatology Clinic went through many positive changes in the last three years. Our practice expanded dermatological care to Carmel and Terre Haute areas. We continue to provide dermatology services in Marion and our main office in Muncie.
We established a partnership with our Carmel location counterpart and exceptional physician who is focusing her medical experience on aesthetics and hormone replacement therapy. The concept of mature body and aging skin is tremendously affected by changes of our hormone/endocrine system. It is a well thought alliance to help our patients with some of the complex skin disorders affected by hormone abnormalities.
Dermatology Clinic found a great benefit for our patients in partnership with our new Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Porto. Based out of Carmel he provides us with his exceptional experience and great knowledge on a monthly basis. Dr. Porto helps the practice to have a comprehensive surgical service for many patients that do not want to travel to Indianapolis for surgeries.
We currently strive for perfection in exceptional patient care, experience and education. With same day appointments in our main Muncie location to facilitate prompt care for the more serious skin infections and issues that can pop up at any time. Christine Watson
Dermatology Clinic is very excited to partner with our new Medical Director Dr. Christy Watson. Dr. Watson is Board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine. Dr. Christy has used her years of experience to direct primary care, dermatology and Medical Spa facilities as well as, owns and operates her own practice.
Dr. Christy received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Dr. Christy also takes pride in owning and operating The Body Bar MD, located in Carmel IN, where she specializes in weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, skin tightening procedures (liposuction) and aesthetics.
Dr. Christy is the only physician in Indiana that offers BeautiFill fat grafting technology. She was one of the first physicians to offer it in the country, and is considered a pioneer for the technology.
Gennady Chernyak, PA-C
received his Degree-Doctor of Medicine from Leningrad School of Medicine, in 1991. He continued his education at Indiana University/Purdue University of Indianapolis to receive his Bachelors in Biology in 1996. Then in 1997, he attended Ball State University and received his Master’s Degree in Physiology and went on to Butler University/Clarion Health to receive a Bachelors in Health Sciences Physicians Assistance in 2003.
Since then Genna has been fortunate to work alongside some of Indiana’s foremost and highly reputable Dermatologists. The two most mentionable are Randall Dermatology in West Lafayette, IN and with Charles Barthlome M.D in Muncie, Indiana who together have a combined 60 years of experience.
Genna strongly believes in treating his patients as he would his own family and that the patient always comes first.
Sarah Osborne
My name is Sarah and I am a Licensed Esthetician and Instructor. I have been Practicing for 5 years and have substantial experience in analyzing skin conditions and recommending skin care treatments, regimens, and solutions.
My passion is my clients, providing customized skin treatments and education for the best medical grade products for their individual skin type. You will leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and feeling beautiful on the inside and out.
Charles W. Bartholome, MD Medical Consultant
Received his doctorate from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1975. He was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1976, and further certified as a Dermatopathologist in 1982 by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. He has been in private practice, as owner of Dermatology Clinic of Muncie, Inc. since 1977. Dr. Bartholome is a Veteran of the US Navy.
